Attorney General Bill Schuette released this statement today on the loss:
"Charlie Koop was a dear and valued friend, and a dedicated prosecutor who will be missed greatly.
My wife Cynthia and I extend our deepest sympathies to Charlie's family, friends and colleagues.
The people of Michigan will forever be privileged to have benefited from Charlie's public service and profound dedication to justice."
