Charlevoix County Prosecuting Attorney Allen Telgenhof and the Rubber Checks

Tips about the alleged misdeeds of Charlevoix County prosecutor Allen Telgenhof just keep pouring in here at The Pretty Lie. Please allow us to share what we have discovered so far.

Allen Telgenhof

As we reported in an earlier post, Mr. Telgenhof is currently being sued by a former landlord who has made several serious allegations against him. One of the allegations was that the Telgenhof's "bounced" checks for their rent.

From the Petoskey News Review: http://www.petoskeynews.com/news/featured/pnr-prosecuting-attorney-involved-in-landlordtenant-dispute-20130508,0,7644988.story

"... throughout the course of (the Telgenhofs') two year tenancy, rent payments were consistently paid late; that the first check written to (the Kanes) by (the Telgenhofs) 'bounced', or failed to clear the bank upon which the checks were drawn, incurring bank charges to (the Kanes)," reads the complaint."

And here: http://theprettylieortheuglytruth.blogspot.com/2013/05/new-lawsuit-filed-against-charlevoix.html

If that weren't bad enough, he has been accused once again of writing bad checks to the storage unit where he had some of his property. I personally investigated and called around until I found the correct facility.

While the owner was reluctant to speak to me (for obvious reasons), I was able to confirm that he passed two non- sufficient funds checks to cover his payments. He was locked out of his unit by the facility and rather than pay up, Mr. Telgenhof took it upon himself to cut their lock off and removed his belongings. There was more to it, but I have to leave it at that for now.

The owner of the facility was forced to serve the Telgenhofs with a five day notice, at which point Telgenhof sent his wife with cash to pay his debt.

This brings up a very important issue for the citizens of Charlevoix County. Who do you go to when a crime is committed against you by the sitting prosecutor? Is there a protocol for that? What a mess.

Several voters have voiced their opinion that they were robbed of their vote due to the conspiracy to cover up Telgenhof's true nature. How he can prosecute anyone is beyond me.

Oh, that's right. He had to bring someone up from Lansing to try a case for him because he lacks experience as a trial attorney.(?) I heard this from two reliable sources and I am confidant that this is all accurate.

More will be added soon as we confirm the evidence most recently submitted.
