Police Imply Sandra Bland ‘Suicide’ Due To ‘Reefer Madness’ From ‘Large Quantity of Marijuana’ Smoked In Jail

Texas police and Waller County District Attorney Elton Mathis just implied that Sandra Bland committed suicide because of “reefer madness,” from “large quantity of marijuana found in her system.
Bland was found hanging dead in a Texas jail only days after a traffic stop and illegal, false arrest by a Texas State Trooper. But now, the police and district attorney are saying that while in police custody, she smoked “large quantities” of marijuana somehow – behind prison bars – all without deputies noticing. This, they are implying, led to her allegedly committing suicide.
Waller County District Attorney Elton Mathis made this claim in a text message send to attorney Cannon Lambert, according to Reuters.
“Looking at the autopsy results and toxicology, it appears she swallowed a large quantity of marijuana or smoked it in the jail,” Mathis said.
“This will of course be very relevant in any future criminal or civil litigation,” Mathis added in the text message to Lambert.
