Obama’s Nightmarish Syrian Legacy

The Russian air force has just begun bombing rebel positions around the city of Homs in Syria. The ostensible justification for the Russian involvement, which now involves more than 30 combat aircraft in the country, is to battle ISIS. But of course ISIS is nowhere near Homs. The rebels that the Russians are actually bombing appear to be American-supplied fighters.

This will come as a surprise only to someone who has just arrived from the moon and has no idea of who Vladimir Putin is or what he is up to. Apparently such people actually inhabit the senior ranks of our government at this moment. How else to explain the anonymous quotes of injured outrage emanating from government officials? “Russian commanders are ignoring their own requests for military-to-military ‘de-confliction’ with the U.S. as their warplanes attack Syrian resistance fighters Wednesday, a defense official told Politico. “It completely bypasses every bit of legitimate discussion we’ve had with them so far.”

New Data Says 49.7 Million Are Now Poor, With 80% of the Total Population Near Poverty

There are nearly 50 million Americans who now live below the poverty line. That translates to 49.7 million total. Furthermore, and just as shocking, nearly 80% of the entire U.S. population is now living near poverty or below it.
This startling new statistic is means that 80% of the population is struggling with joblessness, or with near-poverty. Many of them are relying on government assistance to help pay the bills or feed their families. Without that assistance, this near-poverty statistic means that they too would be poor.

The Associated Press noted, in September, that a growing gap between rich and poor was indicated by the data.
In spite of claims that things are getting better, the loss of good-paying jobs in the manufacturing sector which used to provide a living wage for what used to be the “Working Class” is the likely cause of the increasing trend towards poverty in America.
According to a revised census released last Wednesday, the census total is 3 million higher than what was previously thought. This adjustment caused a reevaluation of the poverty data.
Out-of-pocket medical costs as well work-related expenses have now been factored in. The adjusted data is “considered more reliable by social scientists because it factors in living expenses as well as the effects of government aid, such as food stamps and tax credits,” Hope Yen said, reporting for the Associated Press.
The reassessed data also tells that 5 million people were helped by food stamps to barely keep their heads above the poverty line.

Police Starve Mentally Ill Man to Death for Stealing $5 in Snacks

Portsmouth, VA — Diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder for a decade, 24-year-old Jamycheal Mitchell starved to death in his jail cell after being arrested for stealing $5 in snacks. Although jail officials claim that Mitchell was fed regularly, several inmates have gone on record asserting that guards withheld meals even though Mitchell routinely begged for food in the weeks before his death.
After failing to take his schizophrenia medication for months, Mitchell was arrested on April 22 at a local 7-Eleven for allegedly stealing a Mountain Dew, a Snickers bar, and a Zebra Cake totaling $5.05. Unable to pay his $3,000 bail, Mitchell spent the next four months in Portsmouth jails. At the time of his arrest, Mitchell’s weight was listed at 180lbs.
According to court records, Mitchell appeared “confused” during an interview and waived his right to an attorney. On May 20, a psychologist who evaluated Mitchell wrote that he was manic and psychotic. The next day, Mitchell was declared unfit to stand trial in Virginia.

BREAKING: World Leader Accuses Obama of TREASON on the Floor of the United Nations

Lost in the media hype surrounding the addresses of Presidents Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin to the United Nations General Assembly on Monday was a bombshell claim by the president of Argentina.
President Christina Fernandez de Kirchener announced that her nation had been approached by an Obama administration official with a request that Argentina provide enriched nuclear fuel to the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2010.

The official in question was Gary Samore, former White House Coordinator for Arms Control and Weapons of Mass Destruction, who did not dispute the seemingly outrageous claim and has been open about his opposition to the nuclear agreement currently worked out between Obama and Iran.
Kirchener said that Samore wanted Argentina to provide nuclear fuel to Iran, ostensibly to counter Iran’s excuse that they needed nuclear fuel for their reactors, removing the impetus for them to continue their own uranium enrichment program.
Kirchener stated that the deal fell through when her government asked for the request in writing, to abide by proper protocol, at which point the issue was dropped and Kirchener never heard from Samore again about it.

Is Oklahoma About to Murder An Innocent Man?

On Wednesday, Richard Glossip will face execution by the state of Oklahoma despite mounting evidence pointing to his innocence. Glossip was found guilty for hiring his subordinate Justin Sneed to murder his boss Barry Van Treese during the winter of 1997. No physical evidence was found connecting Glossip to the murder — all hearings and charges are based off of Sneed’s testimony. Sneed cut a deal with the state to testify against Glossip, who had no criminal record, in exchange for a life sentence.
A new report by The Intercept has found that another witness, by the name of Michael Scott, who served time in a cell across from Sneed, overheard him boasting about framing Glossip. In response, Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater, who has been vying for Glossip’s execution, has gone to great lengths to track down Michael Scott and interrogate him.

Pope Francis Set to Canonize Islamic Missionary Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi… of ISIS

Pope Francis announced this week his decision to proceed with the canonization of Islamic missionary Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. A controversial figure, Baghdadi, according to the Washington Post, “established Islamic missions … as he marched North with [the] conquistadors.” A statue of Baghdadi, notes the Post, was recently erected “in the Saudi Capitol”.
Francis informed audiences present for the announcement that Baghdadi “was one of the founding fathers of the Islamic State” and provides “a saintly example of the Quran’s universality”.
Monsignor J. Michael McKiernan, rector of Islamic Basilica in Sinjar, Iraq, says while Baghdadi, like everyone, has “human flaws and difficulties and struggles”, his “overall … legacy [is] a positive one.”
“It’s not all happiness and grace. There have been some difficult times as well,” McKiernan said to Reuters TV.
“So some of the things that [the] Yazidis are concerned about are very real and we don’t want to deny those, but also recognizing that Baghdadi’s legacy [has] also brought beautiful things as we celebrate here every single day.”
In contrast, Yazidi author Simon Moya-Smith points out that Baghdadi “brutally beat[s] and whip[s] men, women and children in order to force obedience among the Yazidi people” and “celebrate[s] the demise of Yazidi children, referring to their deaths as a ‘harvest.’”

Yahoo News is reporting that a “Mexican councillor has provoked outrage after that homeless people should be put down like animals to keep the number of them on the streets down.

Olga Gutierrez Machorro believes that beggars should be culled with lethal injection, believing it to be in their best interests.

She said: “Yes they’re a little crazy, but they’re harmless.

“Which is why I think to myself wouldn’t it be kinder to just give them a lethal injection?”

Unbelievably, Machorro, who is a member of the local government in Tecamachalco, Mexico, is also the councillor responsible for the Vulnerable Groups Commission – who try to find ways to help the homeless and disadvantaged.

EPA decision to destroy environment with bee-killing pesticides overruled by federal judge

(NaturalNews) In a rare demonstration of justice, the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against a recent decision by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to approve a new neonicotinoid pesticide known as "sulfoxaflor," because its manufacturer, Dow Chemical, failed to submit the proper safety studies proving that the substance doesn't harm bees.

The chemical industry basically tried to pull another fast one with sulfoxaflor, submitting it for approval to the EPA without providing credible scientific evidence that it won't contribute to the growing epidemic of "colony collapse disorder," or CCD. This is likely due to the fact that sulfoxaflor does harm bees, and would never get approved if the full facts were revealed.

Nevertheless, the corrupt EPA attempted to ramrod this chemical through safety approvals without any actual evidence of safety, which the Ninth Circuit found to be speciously misguided. In a ruling overturning the EPA's decision, the Court found the EPA's decision to be "flawed" and "not supported by substantial evidence," effectively vacating the EPA's approval.

COLD CASE: MURDER IN SALINE COUNTY

After eight years, numerous investigations and two grand juries, the investigation into the murders of Don Henry and Kevin Ives was officially closed in 1995. Kevin's mom, Linda believes it's a case of police protecting police.

Linda Ives however, continues to search for the truth about how her son died. Linda co-produced a documentary titled "Obstruction of Justice." Integrity films released it in 1996. The film portrays a botched investigation and a cover-up involving an alleged drug ring with Saline County authorities. "And I think Kevin and Don stumbled upon a drug drop that was protected by law enforcement officials." Ives believes Kevin and Don came upon the scene and were grabbed and interrogated for information they didn't have and ended up being beaten and put on the railroad tracks."

At the end of the documentary the narrator says, "Eyewitnesses have implicated several people in the murders and subsequent cover-up including, Dan Harmon, Richard Garrett, Jim Steed, Jay Campbell, Kirk Lane and Danny Allen.

In 1997, Jay Campbell and Kirk Lane, both undercover narcotics deputies for Pulaski county sued the filmmakers for defamation. A jury ruled in their favor and awarded them 600-thousand dollars." Then last year, an 8th Circuit U.S. Court of appeals overturned that verdict. Ives says it was a victory. "It validated everything we have been saying for years. Yes, there are eyewitnesses. Yes, this case is solvable."

Ives says for the first time through this ruling, the government acknowledged eyewitness reports, which possibly link Jay Campbell and Kirk Lane to Don Henry and Kevin Ives the night they died. "I believe that there were two police officers that killed Kevin and Don. That they were the actual hands-on killers,” says Ives.

The ruling highlights three reports, which were included in State Police records handed over in the defamation trial. Those reports place the teens and some deputies near a grocery store near the tracks where Kevin and Don died.

According to the ruling, Ronnie Godwin, returning home from a nightclub, saw two men believed to be police officers pushing a teenage boy up against the telephone booth. Another teenage boy was lying or kneeling on the ground. He says he then saw the men put the boys in the back of the car. Later, Dan Harmon said the descriptions fit Campbell and Lane.

Another witness, Alan Smith also says he saw an undercover police car near the store. And finally, Mike Crook, who managed a local nightclub, reports a conversation with a friend he knows as Jerry. He says jerry saw Kevin and Don, then an unmarked police car pulled up and two men in plain clothes got out. One of them he says was Kirk Lane. The other guy he didn't know, but says he was a large man. Jerry says the two boys and the two cops got into an argument and the two cops beat the boys unconscious and threw them into the car."

Jay Campbell is now the Chief of Police in Lonoke. He calls the eyewitness accounts a far stretch. "They submitted records and there was not one eyewitness statement that said Jay Campbell and Kirk Lane were seen, heard or did anything." he also discredits Ronnie Godwin's account of what happened that night. "Ronnie Godwin’s own family testified that you can't believe anything Ronnie says when he's been drinking, and by his own account, he was leaving a nightclub. He had been there all night." Campbell denies he or Kirk Lane had any involvement in the deaths. "Working as undercover officers, it would be asinine for us to be driving an unmarked police car with spotlights and antennas all over it." In fact, he's still not convinced anyone murdered Don Henry and Kevin Ives. He believes Linda Ives is relying on disreputable witnesses to support what she believes. "I wouldn't believe anything Ronnie Godwin said,” says Campbell. "I wouldn't believe anything Mike Crook said, Mike Crook is a known drug dealer and has been since I've been in law enforcement." The ruling also pointed out that Campbell and Lane testified they did not kill the boys, but neither could offer an alibi.

Despite what Linda Ives calls solid evidence, no law enforcement agency has re-opened the case. "I think people have been threatened with their lives. I think people have been threatened with their jobs," But this hasn't stopped Linda from Hoping. "One of our rituals we go through whenever a new sheriff, or new Prosecuting Attorney comes in, we usually go talk to them and try to get them interested in re-opening the case."

Linda Ives says Kevin and Don never received the investigation they deserved. And though she will never see her son alive, she wants to see his killers brought to justice. "I think about Kevin every day. Often times, it's the first thing I think of when I wake up, and the last thing I think of when I go to bed. He’ll always be part of our lives, whether he's here or not."

Linda Ives says she plans to ask the newly elected Saline County prosecutor, Robert Herzfield, to investigate and she hopes another grand jury could get the case.

US Called Out For Police Brutality and Human Rights Violations by UN Review

The United States was recently slammed over its human rights record Monday at the United Nations. The Human Rights Council’s member nations strongly criticized the U.S. for rampant and virtually unchecked police brutality and clear, documented racial discrimination. Additionally, the continued used of the Guantánamo Bay Detention Facility was pointed to as part of a policy of abuse and pattern of systemic racism.
The United States’ second universal periodic review (UPR) focused on issues of rampant racism and injustice, largely carried out by the police on American streets.

The participating nations seemed to nearly-unanimously agree that the U.S. needs to strengthen legislation and expand training for police, in order to get rid of racist cops, and the widespread use of excessive by law enforcement.
“I’m not surprised that the world’s eyes are focused on police issues in the U.S.,” Alba Morales, an investigator into the U.S. criminal justice system at Human Rights Watch, said.
“There is an international spotlight that’s been shone [on the issues], in large part due to the events in Ferguson and the disproportionate police response to even peaceful protesters,” she continued.

Jamie Peterson has filed a suit against the County of Kalkaska, Village of Kalkaska and several law enforcement officers and the prosecutor involved.

Massive Sinkhole in Australia Swallows Vehicles, Hundreds Are Evacuated

A huge sinkhole bigger than a football field and several metres deep suddenly opened up at a popular camping spot near Rainbow Beach in Queensland, Australia overnight, swallowing a car, caravan and truck instantly.
