US trooper shoots dead man in state of Michigan

An American man has been fatally shot by a trooper in the state of Michigan after allegedly hitting an officer by crossbow, authorities say.
The incident happened late Friday night when four officers including a trooper and a deputy from the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department were serving an arrest warrant at the victim’s home.
They said the 40-year-old suspect shot at officers with a crossbow hitting the deputy. The deputy was airlifted to a local hospital where his condition has stabilized.
Police have not yet released the suspect’s identity.
The United States has “by far the most violent” law enforcement agencies in the world, which is exacerbated by the dominant gun culture and societal violence in the country, according to an expert on international law.
