Young people without a place to live. People in Traverse City discussing the problem tonight.
Many people don't realize there are hundreds of young people in Traverse City and Northern Michigan who don't have a place to call home.
Tonight’s discussion was about changing that.
You wouldn't know it by looking at him, but twenty three year old David VanHorn, is homeless. After living in foster homes most of his life, David faced a life without a permanent home.
“That's when a friend offered to have me stay with her, and that lasted for couple of months, and then that ended and then I went somewhere else and that lasted for a few months, and then that ended, “said VanHorn.
David is now working towards a better future. While he never lived on the street, he says there are many struggles that come with homelessness.
