EGYPT (INTELLIHUB) — Early Thursday morning search and rescue teams inGreece and Egypt are working diligently to locate EgyptAir flight 804, that went missing after an abrupt dip in altitude was noted.
Flight 804 departed Paris shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday night and had just crossed into Egyptian airspace when the plane dissipated from radar around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
“A list of the nationalities of the passengers released by Egypt said that 30 were Egyptian, 15 were from France and the remainder were from at least eight other countries, including Algeria, Belgium, Britain and several Persian Gulf nations,” according to the NY Times.
As of yet, no trace of the airliner has been found.
A distress signal was activated by the aircraft’s computer.
