The Pretty Lie is dedicated to informing the voting public of who they have voted for in the past and who they may be planning on voting for in the future. Our media fails to look into the personal lives of the candidates, resulting in individuals being put in a position of power that aren't worthy of the job before them.
Rather than uphold the law, they use their power to destroy those who come before them. The law of the land means nothing to them. They use their positions to promote the agendas of their cronies in the Good Old Boy Club and to subvert and pervert justice.
They are well aware that most citizens cannot afford to appeal a wrong decision made by the court and they are allowed to run roughshod over the less fortunate in our communities.
Many low income people have appealed to other agencies that are charged with oversight, only to be told that they look out for their own first.
The following individuals have proven themselves to be less than worthy of the public trust.
A few examples of the allegations that we will be discussing in this post are domestic violence, pedophilia and the condoning of same, illegal eviction, the taking of property rights and property from the taxpaying citizens, cover-ups, corruption, deceit, conspiracy ,abuse of power while in office for personal gain and so much more.
The list of victims seems to be endless. We need to band together and have our voices heard. We start this endeavor now. It has been made clear to us that we are on our own.
THE JUDGES
Charlevoix County Circuit Court Judge Richard Pajtas
The Allegations
1. Gave Antrim/Grand Traverse County Court Referee Dennis Mikko a free pass for practicing his perverted sexual activities while on the taxpayer dime and using a computer that was bought with tax dollars.
2. Used his position as judge to destroy his neighbor Wayne Wynkoop, who ultimately took his own life after losing everything he worked for into the coffers of Norwood Township and the crony attorney network in the form of permits that he did not need, attorney fees in an attempt to exercise his rights as an American taxpaying citizen.
Pajtas and his wife Dana Pajtas moved in after Wayne yet he was able to use his influence to rob Wayne of the rightful use of his land.

Mikko allegedly engaged in sexually charged conversations with a self-described male teen on the social network site MySpace, Schneider said. Investigators aren't sure if the individual truly was a teen, Schneider said, and the alleged conversations didn't involve a request to meet.
"There was no direct solicitation of any inappropriate act," Schneider said.
Authorities obtained a search warrant and allegedly traced one end of the conversations back to Mikko. They searched his home and office and allegedly found several pictures of girls that appeared to be ages 11 to 15 in a briefcase under his desk in the Robert P. Griffin Hall of Justice."

Charlevoix Circuit Judge Richard Pajtas said Al Schneider's office improperly filed a motion to reinstate two charges against Mikko. Pajtas granted defense attorney Craig Elhart the money to compensate for his work in responding to the motion.
Schneider initially charged Mikko with 11 criminal counts tied to pictures of what police said were nude underage girls. The pictures were found in a briefcase under Mikko's office desk, and Pajtas eventually threw out all but two of the charges when he determined most of the images didn't amount to child pornography.
Schneider then withdrew the two remaining charges — using a computer to commit a crime and a single count of possession of child sexually abusive material — opting instead to appeal Pajtas' decision to the Michigan Court of Appeals. Cynthia Conlon, a referee who makes domestic relations decisions for the 13th Circuit Court's Family Division, is the subject of a sheriff's investigation to determine if she is criminally liable for marijuana found during a search of her home last month, court records show.
Conlon's husband, Roland Woodring, 51, is charged with six child pornography-related felonies and one marijuana misdemeanor after detectives searched the couple's home Feb. 9 and allegedly found over 1,000 images of child porn and about a quarter-ounce of marijuana, according to police reports.
There was no evidence Conlon is connected to the child pornography and she has not been charged. "

Although this citizen won his lawsuit, Power tripled sanctioned this citizen $100,000. This money was paid immediately. For some reason a cop from downstate came to this citizen's door to collect. Power then slapped an illegal lein on this persons property.

1. After repeatedly ruling in our favor in our federal lawsuit against Havenwyck, Jonker dismissed our case after we turned down an offer of $50,000 from the hospital. This was two weeks before our scheduled court trial. We waited years to get to that point and Jonker dismissed our case on questionable grounds, knowing that I couldn't afford to appeal his decision.
2. Jonker was appointed to the judgeship by none other tha George W.Bush. Havenwyck's "expert" witness was going to fly in from Florida. He was the head os a sex offeneder task force in Florida and he was appointed by none other than Jeb Bush.

“I was sitting on the living room couch and Al came in the living room accusing me of texting an old boyfriend on another telephone. He tackled me on the couch and held me down preventing me from getting my cell phone. He was reaching in my shirt and down in the couch trying to find a cell phone. I tried many, many times to get up and to scream, but Allen kept shoving his hand over my mouth to prevent me from screaming for help. I could not breath. When he would take his hand off my mouth, I would again scream and he put it back on again. He also bit me at least three times. I told him I wanted my phone to call 911 and he prevented me from doing that. He told me he knew the law and that as long as I wasn’t in the process of making a cell call that he would not be in trouble for not letting me have my phone to call 911. I tried to get the phone by kicking it toward me with my foot, but was unable. Many times I was unable to breath. He told me no one would help me. "The Telgenhofs' two-year lease, and two-year stay, at the condominium in Charlevoix owned by the Kanes expired last November and the family moved out by Dec. 1. Just over a month later the Kanes filed the lawsuit claiming $3,537 in back rent, late fees, property damage and missing items.
"... throughout the course of (the Telgenhofs') two year tenancy, rent payments were consistently paid late; that the first check written to (the Kanes) by (the Telgenhofs) 'bounced', or failed to clear the bank upon which the checks were drawn, incurring bank charges to (the Kanes)," reads the complaint.
It goes on to claim that there continues to be $1,375 in unpaid rent and $275 in late charges."

1. Allowed the now convicted pedophile Jere Clark to remain free for several months after charges were made against Clark . Clark and members of his family pursued and harassed the victim in an attempt to get her to drop the charges.(TPL is looking into what, if any charges were brought against Patty Lowry and Ruthie Clark for them providing Clark with a steady stream of victims from the foster care system and for failure to protect those poor kids.)

reported the abuse to police and endured the humiliation of questioning
and yet nothing happened, House said at the hearing.
There was a year-long delay between the investigation and the filing of
charges. The investigation began in January of 2010. The police report was
delivered to the prosecutor’s office in April. It would be a year later,
in April of 2011, when Clark was arrested.
“She’s made a police report to the sheriff’s department,” House said. “It
hasn’t been charged by the prosecutor’s office. Her feeling is, I finally
told someone and no one’s done anything about it. (A DHS worker) calls her
on the phone and you think she’s going to start disclosing to some
stranger she doesn’t even know who she has on the phone?”
Girl No. 1 may have been under even more serious pressure to change her
story.
She was no longer living at the farm outside of Bellaire, within easy
reach of Jere Clark, but she was allegedly still within his grasp.
Girl No. 1 had moved 30 miles away and, in between the police
investigation and Clark’s arrest, Clark allegedly visited her numerous
times.
House said Clark confronted her with questions: “What did you tell the
police? And what are you going to do about this? And what’s happening with
those charges?”
Koop said the case took so long to bring to court because it was so
complicated and because he was on medical leave during the summer of 2010.
The case was eventually turned over to House because she specializes in
these types of cases in Antrim and Leelanau counties."

2. Koop refused to believe that Bellaire resident Mark Fleet was sexually assaulting his children.

“The initial complaints were made in the context of a bitterly fought divorce between Darcie and Mark Fleet, who had taken up with a third party,” the judges wrote in an opinion. “For good or bad reasons, Darcie Fleet had no credibility with most, if not all, of the public officials involved. Allegations were investigated by other agencies and no charges were ever brought or substantiated against Mark Fleet until 1996.”
Pickren believes she should have been taken seriously.
“That is absurd. That is absurd. I will never forget the day I walked into Koop’s office. He wasn’t even prosecutor. It was Dec. 14. ... That will stick in my mind for the rest of my life,” Pickren said. “I walked in and I said, ‘Hello, I’m Darci Fleet.’ I shook his hand and I said, ‘I want you to know that Mark Fleet is a pedophile.’ He looked at me and said, ‘You know, you might be right, he might have molested his adopted step children, but he won’t molest his biological children.’” Koop remembers the meeting differently."

3. The Anne Avery Miller Tragedy - I can't count the ways that this poor woman was failed by the system.
"Anne Avery-Miller: Quite truthfully, I didn’t recognize Anne’s name when
she called me in the spring of 2009, asking me if I’d be willing to do a
story about her. She was going by a fake name and had moved to Traverse
City because life had become too difficult in Elk Rapids, after being
accused (but not charged) of killing her emotionally troubled 16-year-old
son in November of 2007. So began my research with a myriad of interviews
and hundreds of pages of court, police, and divorce court records. I wrote
the story, “Doubt” laying out the facts, letting the readers draw their
own conclusions.
A day after publication in November of 2010, Avery-Miller was charged with
murder and jailed. She committed suicide six months later—one day before a
court hearing to terminate her parental rights of her beloved 8-year-old
daughter. She hanged herself in an Antrim County jail cell. This, of all
the stories, was the most tragic. (November 2009 and May 2010) "

Had Ms. House made a different judgement call regarding the Telgenhof affair, maybe Charlevoix County would have a prosecutor who has integrity.
2. Ms. House prosecuted Jere Clark for CSC and he was convicted. However, someone in the Antrim County Prosecuting Attorney's Office let this case stagnate, with the victim being harassed in the meantime by her rapist.

While doing some research I misspelled Ms. Kur's last name and I found a very interesting court document from 2008.
Here is what I ascertained from reading about this case. Someone referred to only as"Ms. Kerr" who was prosecutor of Charlevoix County decided to testify against her former band teacher who had sexual relations with several young students in Michigan and Florida.
"Ms. Kerr" apparently became sexually involved with her teacher while in middle school and she continued to see him sexually even after she was in college. She only spoke out against this creep after he remarried and after she became prosecutor.
