THE PRETTY LIE GOES TO THE CHARLEVOIX JUDGES FORUM - ELECTION 2014

Before I relate to you the events as they played out, I would like to explain why we are doing this blog .

We are sick of all of the corruption in our courts and we feel that the voters deserve to know the truth about the candidates. We are trying to prevent the wrong person being given the power to play God with other people's lives like the outgoing judge has.

Everyone involved in this project has been abused in one way or the other by the "system."

Others have been robbed of their property rights. Here are just a couple of examples, with the most terrible result of the abuse of power here in Northern Michigan being the suicide of Wayne Wynkpoop.

He took his life after his neighbors formed the NTCHS,  a special interest group that in our opinion was created solely to harm Mr. Wynkoop and rob him of his property rights, which historically ran with the land.

"However, in his Aug. 12 response and motion to dismiss, Pajtas denies all of Frost’s nearly three dozen claims of impropriety, citing judicial immunity."

Isn't that special, judicial immunity. I can't help but wonder if this is the same immunity that allowed Pajtas to cut a path through Fisherman's Island State Park for his own personal use.

I would like to see what would happen if someone who was not a judge tried something like that.

Of course, Frost lost in the court of federal judge Robert Jonker, the same judge who dismissed my case two weeks before trial on very questionable grounds, knowing that I couldn't afford to appeal.

After all of this, apparently due to judicial immunity, Pajtas is retiring and everyone is praising him for the wonderful job he did.

 I just wonder who they asked. I would bet that the Wynkoop and Frost families would beg to differ.

I actually had a very positive experience in Pajtas' court in 1995. I was in trouble for OUIL and I was given a break by Pajtas, who allowed me to go to long term treatment after serving 90 days of a 1 year jail sentence. I have been sober since, and I actually sent Pajtas a Christmas card  in 1996 thanking him for the opportunity to actually be sober and enjoy Christmas for a change.

My how time changes all things.

Then we have the homosexual, pedophile Traverse City court referee Dennis Mikko who appeared before Pajtas and had all of the charges dismissed. For some strange reason...

"Mikko allegedly engaged in sexually charged conversations with a self-described male teen on the social network site MySpace, Schneider said. Investigators aren't sure if the individual truly was a teen, Schneider said, and the alleged conversations didn't involve a request to meet."

Probably not enough evidence to prosecute, same as with the domestic violence/ Judy Telgenhof 911 tape and written statement.
His wife’s handwritten statement to the police:

“I was sitting on the livingroom couch and Al came in the living room accusing me of texting an old boyfriend on another telephone. He tackled me on the couch and held me down preventing me from getting my cell phone. He was reaching in my shirt and down in the couch trying to find a cell phone. I tried many, many times to get up and to scream, but Allen kept shoving his hand over my mouth to prevent me from screaming for help. I could not breath. When he would take his hand off my mouth, I would again scream and he put it back on again. He also bit me at least three times. I told him I wanted my phone to call 911 and he prevented me from doing that. He told me he knew the law and that as long as I wasn’t in the process of making a cell call that he would not be in trouble for not letting me have my phone to call 911. I tried to get the phone by kicking it toward me with my foot, but was unable. Many times I was unable to breath. He told me no one would help me. He finally let me up, but would not give me my cell phone to make a 911call. I finally used the house phone.” From the FOIA Request

Now on to the judges forum.

My daughter and I arrived at the Charlevoix library right before the forum started and we sat in chairs in the aisle for the first half hour before moving into the library lobby.

Some observations.

The moderator was dressed as though she were attending the Kentucky Derby and her hat was rather distracting.

That said, I took notes on my impression of the candidates when they introduced and would like to share them. I would like to add that it appeared that the candidates already knew what the questions were and did their homework and had their answers all prepared.

It would have been refreshing to have an opportunity for the voting public to ask real questions of the candidates.

Tom Schraw attempted to portray himself as one of the good guys, but something about him caused me discomfort.

Perhaps it is because I have spoken at length with the daughter of one of the victims of this scam regarding money being funneled  from the accounts of vulnerable elderly people in Charlevoix County into the bank account of Connie Nowka.

Nowka was appointed as guardian by the Charlevoix County Probate Court to protect the interests of her clients.

It seems odd that she has already been allowed to start making restitution, even though she has yet to be sentenced criminally. It sure was investigated and over with in a big hurry.

 It has been my experience that these people only move that swiftly is when they are trying to cover for themselves and their cronies.

The woman I spoke to has been on The Greg Marshall Program on WMKT  and has been very vocal about the theft of much of her mother's estate and the removal of her as her mother's guardian and Mr. Schraw's and others involvement in the mess.

She welcomes a thorough investigation into this matter and asked me to get this information to the voters before the election.

She has spoken with the Michigan State Police so I believe her account of events.

 Too bad nobody wants to buck the system and actually conduct a meaningful investigation and get to the bottom of who is actually stealing from these estates.( I was also told that there were even more victims, but the amount taken wasn't significant enough for those families to press charges and it wasn't worth angering the court)

 We all know what happens if you dare to do that. It is pathetic that poor people have to take the hit because "it wasn't very much money." If it is all that you have, it is everything.

Hopefully this will be concluded soon and the truth will come out. Too bad it won't be before the election.


Valerie Snyder impressed me as the girl next door type, albeit from the good side of the tracks. She comes from a wealthy background and I don't think that she can grasp the reality of the damage the fines and court costs inflict upon low income families. If you don't pay up, you are arrested again and the expenses just keep piling on. Here in Antrim County it costs you $50.00 to be arrested.(They call it booking fees)

People are living hand to mouth out here and most people appearing before the court are low income and can't afford to pay rent and the courts. They have children who have to go without so that the courts get "their" money.

It is my opinion that someone born with a silver spoon in their mouth couldn't possibly understand that.

Roy Hayes actually seemed  to be a pretty normal guy and came across as being interested in serving the public, rather than being motivated by self promotion and ego and agenda driven ulterior motives.

 If I were able to vote in Charlevoix, this gentleman would have my support. He has experience in many areas and I think he would be a fair judge. We don't need someone to fill Pajtas' shoes. We need a changing of the guard.

Ed Engstrom seems like a good enough guy, but he appeared to be nervous and unsure of himself in front of a large crowd. He also mentioned a case he was involved in that concerned children being abused by cutting. This was topped only by Schraw's example of someone touching their grandson inappropriately. Makes you wonder what goes on in some people's heads.

If you can't be trusted with the little stuff, you can't be trusted with things that are important.

Saving the best for last, Mary Beth Kur aka Mary Beth Kerr.

This woman has cost the taxpayers of Charlevoix County millions of dollars in lawsuits because of her vindictiveness while prosecuting attorney, as well as ruining the reputation of a police officer who responded to a domestic violence complaint at her home as well as several former colleagues.

There were also allegations of pornography on the prosecutor's computers and missing money. Lucky for her she had good old boy Judge Thomas Power (from my district) to put a gag order on the juicy stuff.

I can't figure out why these people would even run for public office knowing the dirt they have in their pasts.

THE JUDGE'S FORUM 7/29/2012

My daughter and I waited outside of the north  entrance door and handed out fliers directing people to this blog for information about the judicial candidates.This isn't being properly covered in our local complacent media and the voters need to know the truth.

 I say that they are complacent because the Petoskey News Review refused to inform the voters about Charlevoix Prosecutor Allen Telgenhof's domestic violence problem before or after the election two years ago.

They covered up for him. Very shameful behavior from the local fish wrap.

They also refused to print letters to the editor about this, so now Charlevoix has an alleged criminal as a prosecutor. This show how biased and skewed our media has become. There are no real journalists anymore.

The allegations are: He stole property from former landlord,did not pay storage unit bill and was locked out,sneaked in and cut off the lock and removed his belongings,trashed a house that he lost to the bank,check bouncing,domestic violence,etc.

No news there.

From what I have heard there is a very close relationship between the local newspapers and Telgenhof. Now the people of Charlevoix must endure this man's incompetence for two more years.

 The wrong guy is sitting in that office now. They have a deal maker rather than a trial attorney for a prosecutor.His own words, not mine.

As people exited the library ,we asked if they would be interested in a flier with more information about the candidates.

People were very interested. We gave many away and the blog has been going wild ever since, so hopefully people will be better informed before casting their votes.

Some of the people were rude and snotty, but most were receptive and took a flier.

 My daughter even handed them to some of the candidates and I hope they took the trouble to read our blog.

I handed a flier to a portly older gentleman as he walked by. He took a few steps while reading the flier and came back in got in my face.

{ It was at this point that I knew he was a member of prosecutor Telgenhof's goon squad that surrounded me and two others at the county commissioner's meeting last October. They were mad because we told the truth about Telgenhof while he was in attendance.

A person should be allowed to speak out against a public official without fearing that elected officials and their flunkies will corner them and harass them for exercising their right to free speech.

I reported this shabby and unprofessional behavior to both the sheriff and to the county commissioner.

This man told me through clenched teeth that he hears me on the Greg Marshall program all of the time. He claims that the only reason I am allowed to go on like I do is because Greg only has about three callers and no listeners. But he hears me on there all the time. Hmm....

He then told me that there is a lot of stuff on the blog that wasn't true. I told him that if he had information to the contrary I would be more than happy to print a retraction. He didn't say anything more, glared at me for a few seconds and he left.

It was then that I noticed Prosecutor Telgenhof's wife Judy and her posse posing for a selfie about 20 feet away from me. I think one of them is the wife of the rude gentleman who tried to harass me and was also involved in the intimidation that occurred at the Charlevoix commissioner's meeting.

She had a flier in her hand and did not look happy, but she didn't accost me like she did the last time we ran into each other.

Valerie Snyder was speaking with my daughter less than five feet away from me and may have witnessed this exchange.

By then ,everyone was gone. We left feeling good about doing our part. Hopefully we informed the voter's about the true character of many of the candidates.
