Parents Get $800,000 Settlement After Police Kidnapped Their Children Without a Warrant

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors recently settled a suit filed by parents of two children who Sheriff’s deputies kidnapped with no warrant.
The settlement reached a mutually-agreed upon $800,000 to be paid to the parents in question, who said their civil rights had been violated.
The lawsuit claimed that the children were wrongfully removed from their San Gabriel Valley home, some four years ago. The police had no warrant to take the children, but they were nevertheless kept by the state for four months.
