Alberto Nisman, 51, the prosecutor who was found dead on January 18 at
his apartment, had drafted a warrant seeking to arrest Argentine
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Foreign Minister Hector
Timerman and several political supporters of the President. A special
prosecutor investigating a 1994 terrorist attack in Buenos Aires,
Nisman had accused her of covering up Iran’s role in the bombing of a
Jewish community center that left 85 dead and hundreds wounded – the
deadliest terrorist attack in Argentina’s history. The draft document,
dated June 2014, was found in a trash can in his apartment, lead
investigator Viviana Fein said on February 3.
