The message out of the perversion promoting White House is that
anything goes, that all’s fair in love and war and everything is or soon
will be appropriate. The more bizarre the behavior, the more protected
and precious it is. Not everyone agrees that emulating Sodom is a wise
course of action for the United States or that it makes for a leadership
credential that places us in a favorable position globally.
While some would argue that it doesn’t matter what the cultures of
other nation tolerate in our military leadership, when we routinely
engage and insert our military as our representatives into other
nations where women are often treated as second class citizens, alcohol
is forbidden, barbarism is commonplace, and homosexuals are executed,
those arguments lose much of their legitimacy. It does matter who
represents us and what conduct is sanctioned by our military leaders.
The reality is what it is as much as some might like to theorize or
profess to the contrary.
