FIJA: Victory in Denver! All Jury Tampering Charges Dismissed!!!

Read on and be among the first to hear the latest news today from Denver!
As you may know, this past summer, juror rights educators Mark Iannicelli and Eric Brandt were each falsely arrested for and charged with seven felony counts of so-called "jury tampering" for sharing FIJA's Your Jury Rights: True or False? (.pdf) and Fresh Air for Justice (.pdf) brochures outside the Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse.
They were in court this morning with defense attorneys David Lane and Lonn Heymann for a pre-trial hearing regarding whether their charges should be dismissed.
WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THIS MAJOR VICTORY!!!
District Court Judge Laff dismissed all of the fourteen charges, seven each against the two defendants, as unconstitutional applications of the law that swept in protected speech. Judge Laff pointed out that if someone was outside the courthouse holding a sign that said "Acquit John Doe", even that would be protected speech.
Big congratulations to the entire defense team
and all of their on-the-ground supporters in Denver!!!!
