The Fo
od and Drug Administration of the United States has finally admitted that factory-farmed chicken meat sold in the USA contains arsenic, a cancer-causing toxic chemical that can be fatal in high doses. What’s incredible though is that it’s no accident; the arsenic is added to chicken feed intentionally.
The FDA’s research on this matter shows that the arsenic in the chicken feed ends up in the meat where it ends up being ingested by humans. For most of the last 60 years, consumers from the United States have been consuming arsenic-tainted chicken meat.
But prior to the release of the FDA’s study, the poultry industry vehemently denied that arsenic was added to the chicken feed. They said that arsenic was just a byproduct of a chicken’s digestion and was safely released in feces. But there is no scientific basis for this statement, making their claims even worse.
This story runs even deeper; Roxarsone, the chicken feed manufacturer, rapidly pulled its products from the shelves after this study was released. But what is Roxarsone? Roxarsone is a subsidiary of Pfizer, called Alpharma LLC. So Pfizer, the big pharmaceutical, has been putting cancer-causing arsenic in chicken feed and into our bodies.
