Last November, I received an anonymous letter that had no return address or signature. It was postmarked in Grand Rapids on November 02, 2013.

THE LETTER: 

I am very interested in your blog. I read it quite often and think you make some excellent points....even though I don't agree with everything on there.

I think you need to know some things about Mary Beth Kur. You two have more in common than you think. You see, anyone that really knows her family and details about her children know that oneone of them has suffered injustices very similar to what you describe in tour own life. Two of them are happy,self sufficient law abiding adult citizens. So,until you know all the facts, don't be so quick to crucify. Please don't judge. She has gone through such heartache and she tried everything under the sun to help her child who has suffered greatly as well.

Mental illness is something that this country wants to pretend doesn't exist. Just like they want to pretend children are not abused in detention facilities. Schizophrenia is a nightmare that no parent or family member deserves to see a child go through. There are few treatment facilities. Instead mentally ill persons often spend the better part of their life in jail cells. It is wrong and it is sad and it is no different than the anguish you have suffered.

Could you please take up the cause of the mentally ill or at least write about it? 60 Minutes just did a show about this a couple of weeks ago. These people need help. Long term help. There is money to lock people up for smoking pot but there is no place for the chronically mentally ill....except jail.IT IS SO WRONG.

Don't you see that Mary Beth Kur is a person  just like you?Don't you realize how much she has been through and how relentless the criminal justice system has been on her child? She has spent years trying to right wrongs and she has not only done this in her own life, but in the lives of her clients too.I know this because she helped me and my children in ways I never knew existed.She is wonderful,caring person who has been through hell....just like you.

The story you posted about her husband supposedly assaulting their son 10 years ago was set up by a corrupt cop hell bent on seeing her destroyed because she would not protect him when heviolated other people's rights. That same officer has lied over and over again in court. He was even put in jail by a judge after he made up lies about the  Kur family. He once picked up - in 2003, his drunk brother after he was stopped by the police and Kur questioned this. The story you posted is how he got her back. Insiders at the police office know this. If we told though, we would get in trouble. See for yorself. Ask for the personel file for this crooked cop- from Charlevoix and antrim county.

They wanted help for their son and instead were the victim's of a vicious political attack. In the end, the truth came out. No one assaulted anyone in that house....ever. During the 10 years sincethe article you posted, there have been endless trips too jails and mental heath facilities and hospitals by these parents....literally begging for help for someone (their son) in desperate need if it....their child that they loved dearly....like you love your own child. Please have mercy on these people and again, please know that they have a lot more in common with you than you think.

In no way shape or form have I ever asked any officer of this county to ever show me or my family any courtesy nor would I ever expect any.

Ebola clinic in Guinea evacuated after attack – Angry mob claims Doctors Without Borders introduced deadly disease to country

A crowd of people angry about an Ebola outbreak that has killed 86 people across Guinea attacked a centre where people were being held in isolation, prompting an international aid group to evacuate its team, officials said Saturday.

The violence took place in the southern town of Macenta, where at least 14 people have died since the outbreak emerged last month. The mob of people who descended upon the clinic accused Doctors Without Borders health workers of bringing Ebola to Guinea, where there had never previously been any cases.  

Guinea’s government swiftly condemned the attack, saying that Doctors Without Borders and other international aid groups were key to stopping the spread of Ebola.

“The international community has rapidly mobilized to help us in these difficult moments with considerable medical support and specialists on the ground at the disease’s epicenter,” the statement said. “That’s why the government is calling on people to stay calm and allow our partners to help us eradicate this epidemic.”

Some young people threw rocks at the aid workers, though no one was seriously hurt, said Sam Taylor, a spokesman for Doctors Without Borders.

“We understand very well that people are afraid because it is a new disease here,” Taylor said. “But these are not favourable working conditions so we are suspending our activities.”

The end of ‘Bookville’ homeless camp under the Tuttle?

Where did all the sex offenders go after their eviction last year  from under the Julia Tuttle Causeway? Reporter Robert Lyle’s WLRN radio series  tracked down several former residents of this unlamented monument to the law of  unintended consequences, and we want to add further information.

The causeway colony, the subject of lurid international headlines and a  recent novel by Russell Banks, resulted from local laws that restrict sex  offenders from living within 2,500 feet — one-half mile — from places that  children gather, likeschools, parks and school bus stops. In a dense urban  county like ours, there is almost no affordable housing outside these  boundaries. The inevitable consequence of these laws was to force sex offenders  into homelessness.

The state had already passed a carefully-considered 1,000-foot law that would  have allowed shelter for most of the county’s offenders. Furthermore, a  geo-mapping survey proved there were far more registered sex offenders in the  county than affordable housing units outside the 2,500-foot zone. Finally,  social scientists have achieved rare unanimity about two issues: (1) housing  instability increases the risk of recidivism among all offenders, and (2)  residing near a school or park does not increase the already-low recidivism rate  by the vast majority of sex offenders.

Centralia, Pennsylvania Fire Still Burns Underneath Town, 50 Years On (PHOTOS/VIDEO)

CENTRALIA, Pa. (AP) — It's an anniversary the few remaining souls who live here won't be celebrating.

Fifty years ago on Sunday, a fire at the town dump ignited an exposed coal seam, setting off a chain of events that eventually led to the demolition of nearly every building in Centralia — a whole community of 1,400 simply gone.

All these decades later, the Centralia fire still burns. It also maintains its grip on the popular imagination, drawing visitors from around the world who come to gawk at twisted, buckled Route 61, at the sulfurous steam rising intermittently from ground that's warm to the touch, at the empty, lonely streets where nature has reclaimed what coal-industry money once built.

It's a macabre story that has long provided fodder for books, movies and plays — the latest one debuting in March at a theater in New York.

Yet to the handful of residents who still occupy Centralia, who keep their houses tidy and their lawns mowed, this borough in the mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania is no sideshow attraction. It's home, and they'd like to keep it that way.

"That's all anybody wanted from day one," said Tom Hynoski, who's among the plaintiffs in a federal civil rights lawsuit aimed at blocking the state of Pennsylvania from evicting them.

Cop Pulls Gun On Fifth Graders Building Tree Fort

Police in Georgia forced a group of fifth graders to the ground at gunpoint this week as they attempted to build a tree fort in their own neighborhood.

According to 911 records, Henry County Police were called after a neighbor noticed the children “chopping off tree limbs,” an activity she claimed was hurting the environment and creating “tripping hazards.”

Police arrived on scene to find 11-year-old Omari Grant and his friends playing in a small patch of trees, prompting at least one officer to reportedly draw his firearm and force the boys to the ground.

“I was thinking that I don’t want to be shot today, so I just listened to what they said,” Grant said.

As the children lay face down, the officer allegedly screamed profanities as he forced them to spread their arms and legs. Grant’s mother, Janice Baptiste, detailed her son’s experience in an interview with WSB-TV.

“All he could get out at the time was, ‘Mom, he had a gun in my face, he had a gun in my face,’” Baptiste said. “So my son was of course traumatized by that.”

After the children were searched, Grant was taken back to his home by the officer, who also startled Baptiste with his unstable appearance.

“He just came with such an attitude,” Baptiste said. “His whole physical appearance was one of, ‘I’m Mr. Big and bad.’”

Grant says he is now hesitant to play outside in his own neighborhood, afraid of the very police he always looked up to.

“I learned that they’re supposed to help you, not make you feel scared to even come outside,” Grant said.

Chemtrails: An Integral Part Of The Great Starvation

When I was a child, I knew that the elite preferred to use starvation to nuclear weapons because those Hydrogen bombs killed rich people. Starvation was a great weapon in their opinion because it only struck down poor people. I had estimated at that time that at least 2 to 3 million Americans had died from starvation during the Great Depression. I have since learned that between 3 and 7 million Americans actually did starve to death. Of late I have been writing of the Great Starvation which is what I have called the next Great Depression because it will starve at least 10 million Americans to death and kill a billion people overseas.

Of course these deaths and suffering need not be if we had worldwide Debt Cancellation and monetary reform.

Today I want to specifically include Chemtrails on the list of programs designed by the elite to starve 10 million Americans to death. Chemtrails are also being used to degrade the health of Americans so many of them will be too sick to resist the Evil that passes for their government. And, when the plagues are released, the hungry and the sick will have a lowered resistance to diseases created for them in labs.

I also said when I was in high school that America would face a rising National Security State because Wall Street was stealing our pensions, savings and paychecks. This was long before they blew up the Murrah Federal building in Oklahoma City and the World Trade Center Towers on 911.

Chemtrails spray 20 million tons of aluminum oxide, barium oxide and strontium oxide on human beings, plants, trees and the water we all must drink. These metal oxides have been linked to several human, plant and animal diseases.

Aluminum oxide raises the ph level of soil depleting the soil of micro-organisms needed for organic gardening. Trees are dying. Aluminum oxide is an accelerant for forest fires.

Ozone is depleted by aluminum oxide. Cosmic rays are blocked by Ozone.

What Happens When Teachers, Delivery People And Fast Food Workers Don’t Care Anymore…

One of the big problems in America today is that a lot of people simply do not seem to care about what they are doing anymore.  The level of sloth, laziness and apathy that we are witnessing in this country is absolutely mind-numbing.  Of course this is not true of everyone.  There are still many Americans that are extremely hard working.  But overall, it really appears that people are not taking as much pride in their work as they once did.  Some of the examples that I am about to show you are quite funny.  Others are more than just a little bit disturbing.  But they all have a common theme.  Americans from all walks of life are simply giving up.  Whether they are teachers, delivery people or fast food workers, the truth is that there are a whole lot of people out there that seem to have mentally checked out.

Attacks on the homeless jumped 23 percent last year: Report

The streets have become an increasingly dangerous place to be homeless.

While the number of homeless people in the US dropped for the third straight year in 2012, according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s latest estimates, advocates can’t quite celebrate yet.

Homeless people experienced a 23 percent surge in targeted attacks last year as compared to the number of assaults in 2012, according to preliminary figures released by the National Coalition for the Homeless (NCH).

NCH, the only national organization to track crimes against the homeless, is slated to publish its 15th annual report on the topic in April, Michael Stoops, director of community organizing, told The Huffington Post.

In 2013, there were a total of 108 reported attacks against the homeless, according to preliminary figures. Nineteen of those assaults resulted in death, Stoops said. The year before, there were 88 reported attacks, 18 of which resulted in death.

April 4, 2014 -- (TRN) -- The United States government believes the Yellowstone Super-Volcano WILL erupt within the next ten years and has been offering to pay foreign countries $10 Billion a year for ten years if they agree to house Americans on an emergency basis if Yellowstone erupts. Dr. Jean-Philippe Perrillat of the National Centre for Scientific Research in Grenoble, France confirms the magma build-up and ten year time-line!

According to a story published in "The Afrikaaner" newspaper in South Africa, the African National Congress (ANC) government in South Africa has received a request from the U.S. to be part of a U.S. disaster management plan where South Africa would be paid $ 10 billion a year (about R100 billion) for ten years. The plan would be for temporary housing for millions of Americans in South Africa, built if the Yellowstone super volcano in the U.S. erupts.

Countries that will participate in the plan include Brazil, Argentina and Australia. A spokesman for the South Africa Department of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Sipho Matwetwe, said South Africa "will not be part of the plan because there is a risk that millions of white Americans can be sent to our country in an emergency situation and we consider that a threat to black national culture and identity."

A Super Volcano is one hundred times as powerful as a regular volcano and would not just kill millions of people, but would wipe out an entire civilization. If Yellowstone erupts, the whole North American Continent would be destroyed and the earth may be immersed for a few years in a "volcanic winter."

Those were Cathy Wilburn's words to HIGH TIMES, shortly before being one of the chosen witnesses to watch convicted Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh be put to death via chemical injection on June 11, 2001, at the United States penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana. McVeigh, 33, was the first person to be executed by the federal government since 1963. A fatal injection of potassium chloride stopped his heart at 7:14 AM, CDT.

McVeigh was convicted and sentenced to death in 1997 for detonating a fertilizer bomb, concealed in a rented Ryder truck, that blew off the front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995. Collapsing floors in the nine-story structure buried victims under masses of steel and concrete. It was the worst domestic terrorist attack in US history, killing 168 people, including 19 children attending daycare, and injuring over 500 others.

McVeigh had originally been scheduled to die on May 16, but on May 10, the Justice Department turned over more than 4,000 previously undisclosed FBI investigation papers to his attorneys. Attorney General John Ashcroft cited the FBI blunder and delayed the execution until June 11. Some of the documents in question relate to the distinct possibility that McVeigh did not act alone in the bombing.

On April 17, 1995 Timothy McVeigh reportedly picked up a 20-foot Ryder truck from Elliott's Body Shop in Junction City. The truck was filled with roughly 5,000 pounds (2,300 kg) of ammonium nitrate, an agricultural fertilizer, and nitromethane, a highly volatile motor-racing fuel-a mixture also known as Kinepak or ANFO (ammonium nitrate/fuel oil).At 9:02 a.m. on April 19, 1995,  the truck exploded in the street in front of the Alfred P. Murrah federal building. About 90 minutes later, McVeigh was stopped by an Oklahoma state trooper for driving a vehicle without a license plate, who then arrested him on a firearms charge. Two days later he was charged in the bombing. His friend Terry Nichols was arrested in Kansas, and formally charged with the bombing on May 10.

U.S. Marshals Shoot Unarmed Man in Albuquerque, Seize Cell Phone Cameras from Witnesses

As Albuquerque residents take to the streets to protest against the ongoing slayings of citizens by their local police department, federal agents got into the act by opening fire on an unarmed man Tuesday morning, then seizing cameras from witnesses.

But more citizens with cameras arrived on the scene as a group of U.S. Marshals stood around the victim, Gilberto Angelo Serrano, proving unafraid to voice their displeasure at the trigger-happy culture that apparently has seeped into all levels of law enforcement in Albuquerque.

Realizing they were outnumbered by cameras, the U.S. Marshals could only ask people to stand back, not bothering to try and stop them from recording as they tried to wrap a bandage around the head of the man they had just shot, who was laying on the sidewalk bleeding.

But a witness named Gabriel Valdez said the Marshals confiscated his cell phone camera as well as his mother’s camera as “evidence,” when he did not even start recording until after the shooting.

The incident took place around 10 a.m. when a group of Marshals were trying to apprehend a fugitive who was driving his truck.

The Trial of Duane "Dog" Chapman the Bounty Hunter

It was June, 2003. Andrew Luster, great-grandson of cosmetics giant Max Factor was running from the law. Charged with sexual assaults of three women in California, Luster had fled the country and ended up in Mexico. He was convicted in absentia of 86 counts, including multiple rape charges. However he had to be caught.

The case was extremely high, and the chase after Luster lasted several months, before it came to an end in the city of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. FBI investigators were on the scene, but also there was someone who then was not as famous as he is now: Duane "Dog" Chapman, along with his son Leland and associate (no relation) Tim Chapman.

Chapman had been following the case from the beginning, and had spent five months chasing after Luster. He was tipped off by a couple staying at a resort in Puerto Vallarta and went after the fugitive rapist. The couple, a few hours later, also gave the FBI the same information. However Dog had a head start.

And so Chapman, his son, associate, and two cameramen traveled down to the Zoo Bar, at the intersection of Mexico and Honduras Avenues. There they found Luster hiding out under the alias of David Carrera. Luster was captured and the bounty hunters were taking him back to the airport when something very surprising to them happened. They were stopped by local police and put under arrest.

Bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico, and since Dog was acting under no authority save his own, in the eyes of Mexican law what he was doing was no better than kidnapping. He was placed under arrest and spent the night with his son and associate inside of a Mexican prison cell. The three later posted bail, were let out of prison and fled the country. The bail bondsman had just jumped bail.

American Justice For The Wealthy-No Prison For du Pont Heir Convicted Of Sexually Molesting His Child Because He Would Not "Fare Well In Jail"

Despite recent protestations on the part of a few wealthy Americans who would have us believe that their current circumstances are somehow akin to the besiegement suffered by German Jews on Kristalnacht, it turns out that being wealthy in America can come in very handy—particularly for rich defendants convicted of raping their own infant child.

Meet Robert H. Richards IV—heir to the du Pont family fortune—who has beenconvicted in a Delaware court of raping his three-year old daughter.

As you try to settle your stomach in response to the realization that anyone could commit such a sickening offense, add to the broth that Mr. Richardswill not spend one day in jail for the heinous offense to which he has confessed.

When first indicted on two counts of second-degree child rape—the other charge involving the allegation that Richards also sexually assaulted his infant son—Richards was quickly released on $60,000 bail rather than being required to spend his time cooling his heels where most others being accused of such a disgusting crime would be found—inside a cold jail cell.

How many defendants, particularly with the kind of wealth available to Richards, would have not been considered a flight risk when facing such charges? How many defendants facing such charges would have been allowed to slip back into a society filled with unaware children and families, any of whom who could easily have become victims?

And yet, the court set bail at an amount that is but a pittance to an heir to the du Pont fortune.

Richards used his time and money well, hiring one of the top law firms in the state—a firm that successfully negotiated a deal where Mr. Richards pled guilty to one count of fourth-degree rape while admitting to the Court that he did, indeed, engage in sexual assaults on his children.

The distinction between a second degree and fourth degree count of child rape child is significant in Delaware. Conviction on a charge of second-degree rape brings a mandatory ten-year prison term for each count. Conviction on a fourth-degree charge carries no mandatory minimum sentence whatsoever.

Still, the sentencing judge certainly had the latitude to impose a prison sentence for Richards’ crime, even if was not a mandatory requirement.

Instead, Delaware Superior Court Judge Jan Jurden noted that Mr. Richards would “not fare well” in prison and that Richards would gain far more benefit by participating in a sex offender program than he would were he to go to prison.

Apparently, this judge was far less concerned about the relative benefits of the sentencing decision when it came to Richards’ children or any other children that might now be exposed to this pervert.
