Heather Jones, 29, and husband Michael have have been charged with child abuse and the first-degree murder of Adrian Jones

Michael has also been charged with assault and battery against his wife

Property owner Jennifer Hoevers has been renting her rural Kansas City home to the couple and their family for a year and a half 

She entered the house following their arrests and found it was trashed

Black mold was growing everywhere and there were cages full of rats 

Hoevers said there was fast foot wrappers and rotting food strewn all over

Human remains believed to be Adrian were found inside a barn on the family's property November 25

Six girls have been taken from the home and are now in protective custody
