A group of homeowners who filed a lawsuit to stop big parties on the Torch Lake Sandbar have won.
The Torch Lake Protection Alliance group filed the lawsuit naming Beatbox Beverages, LLC, LansingParty.com, LLC, and Brooks Ehlert aka DJ Fade as the defendants.
On June 7, Kalkaska County Judge George J. Mertz ruled Beatbox Beverages shall not promote, sponsor, organize or hold a Sandbar Party Bash on Torch Lake for five years.
