A Grand Traverse County deputy is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl.
Court documents say the two sent nude pictures to each other and had a graphic conversation while the deputy was on the job.
John Scheiding is charged with three counts of having and distributing child porn, one count of using a computer to commit a crime and one count of willful neglect of duty.
He has been placed on paid leave.
The Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to Deputy Scheiding’s home on April 27 for a welfare check.
