Almost a decade after the tragic and mysterious disappearance
of Alabama high-schooler Natalee Holloway in Aruba, a new witness has
come forward with a shocking account that may finally shed light on what
may have been the young girl’s final hours.
Jurrien Dej Jong, a native of Aruba, told television show Inside
Edition that he was one of the last people to see Holloway alive, and
that he knows exactly what became of her.
Holloway, an 18-year-old from Mountain Brook, Ala., was on a class
trip to the Dutch island in the Caribbean when she disappeared. In spite
of a massive search that included the FBI and Dutch Air Force,
Holloway’s body was never found.
Aruban natives Joran van der Sloot and brothers Deepak and Satish
Kalpoe were suspected in Holloway’s disappearance, although none were
ever convicted. Van der Sloot was eventually jailed in Peru for
murdering college student Stefany Flores, where he’s serving a
38-year-prison term.
However, according to Dej Jong, he should be serving more time than that.
