Morel mushroom foragers must be certified to sell to the public, state says

LANSING, MI-- Registration is underway for a new certification program designed to assure that people who sell foraged mushrooms don't mistakenly poison the public.
Foragers must attend an all-day class and score 80 percent or higher on the test afterwards to receive state certification as an approved mushroom identification expert, a certification that is valid for five years.
