- Chatham County Sheriff Al St. Lawrence fired nine of his deputies Friday
- The terminations were in connection with the death of Matthew Ajibade
- The 22-year-old college student was found dead in restraints after he was booked into the county jail in January 2015
- Ajibade had been arrested on domestic violence charges following a fight with his girlfriend
- Sheriff's officials have said Ajibade was placed in a restraining chair in an isolation cell and was combative during booking, injuring three deputies
- One deputy suffered a concussion and a broken nose, according to the sheriff's office
