ElectedWatch - 2016

2016 is a big election year for local, state and national candidates.  This blog, with your help, will keep an eye on the candidates to make sure that honorable, qualified candidates are elected.  This blog will vette candidates running for current offices and those who will run for future offices.  All elected officials must have the character to “do the right thing” in “the right way” for their elected office.  We encourage all viewers to submit verified, documented claims of corruption of public officials so our viewers and the electorate can be informed at the polls.
FLINT WATER CRISIS-  Governor Snyder and Attorney General Schuette
Governor Snyder is in “hot water” over the toxic Flint Water Crisis.  As reported, there has been a failure of numerous government agencies.   As Gov. Snyder has claimed, this happened on his watch and it was persons under his control which are at fault.  What did the Governor know and when did he know it?  What is going to happen to Gov. Snyder?
Of course, waiting in the wings for a run at the Governor’s position is Attorney General Bill Schuette.  It is common knowledge that the Governor cannot run again and also common knowledge that Attorney General Schuette will likely run for this position in 2018.
Now, the Attorney General is launching his own private investigation into the Flint Water Crisis.  Attorney General Schuette stated:
"Make no mistake about it, without fear and without favor, this independent investigation will be high performance and the chips fall where they may," said Schuette, who had balked at a state investigation until after the Department of Justice began its own probe.

Why did AG Schuette say the investigation is going to be “without favor”?  Instead of prosecuting a sitting prosecutor for admitted violations of the election law, his office just called the violator.   If this new investigation reveals some type of criminal conduct, will Schuette just call the elected official and give out another “pass”?  Look at how Schuette and his office handled the Telgenhof matter.  See this blog for details.  Don’t you expect more from our Attorney General?  The good ole’ boys system has got to go.
