It’s estimated that every year, around 4 million dogs are abandoned every year, a rate of more than 10,000 per day. Sadly, not all people who abandon their pets leave them at shelters. Every day we hear lots of heartbreaking stories about animals which are abandoned and living on the streets, and as a result often subjected to really tough situations that leave their physical and psychological health at huge risk. Some cruel owners take it a step further by abandoning their dying dogs in remote areas. This spot in the woods of southeast Dallas in Texas is famous for being a boneyard for dying, dead, and unwanted pets.
