Whether you love him or hate him, you can’t help but hear about Donald Trump in the news.
“You’ve called women you don’t like ‘fat pigs.’”
“Don Voyage. Trump is toast!”
“Trump is Trump.”
“I think he is, in many ways, impervious to facts.”
“And instead all of our time is spent discussing this rodeo clown.”
Now, a long-forgotten story about Trump is making the rounds on
social media, and it’s causing a lot of people to give him a second
look.
In 1988, Trump flew a young child with a rare illness from L.A. to
New York – at substantial cost to himself – after airlines refused to
fly the child.
Three-year-old Andrew Ten was struggling with a breathing condition that doctors had not been able to identify.
The Tens decided to fly to New York to see if any doctors there could help.
One problem: Commercial airlines wouldn’t let Andrew fly because of
the large amount of medical equipment needed to keep him alive during
the flight.
Running out of ideas, the family decided to try a one-in-a-million shot: they called Donald Trump.
