Congress Threatens EPA Chief With Prison for Perjury

Congress has called EPA Chief Gina McCarthy on her many lies while testifying to congress.  They reminded her that perjury is punishable by prison and they offer her a chance to correct the record before they level charges against her.
“Providing false or misleading testimony to Congress is a serious matter.”
“Witnesses who purposefully give false or misleading testimony during a congressional hearing may be subject to criminal liability.  With that in mind, we write to request that you correct the record and implore you to be truthful with the American public about matters related to EPA’s regulatory agenda going forward.”
McCarthy is being accused of lying about the science used to write the EPA rule on Clean Water.  The regulation of ozone levels and the possibility that the EPA  withholding highway funds from states that don’t bend over and kiss her ample arse.  If that’s all the lies they caught her in, she must have only spoken three lines.  She has been catching flak over the EPA’s use of secret science, which in reality is only talking points provided by the environmental groups that actually run the EPA.
During McCarthy’s testimony, Rep. Frank Lucas, (R) OK, asked McCarthy about where she got the scientific studies that she used to develop the Clean Water Rule.  He asked McCarthy if the EPA had released the scientific studies behind various parts of the Clean Water Rule.  McCarthy told Lucas that the information was available on the EPA docket.  That was a lie.  The committee then pointed to a report by the Army Corps of Engineers that challenged the “facts” behind the new rule.
